Meet our Psychologist

Tahnee Seychell

“I am passionate about working with people to relieve their distress, achieve meaningful change and discover fulfilment in their lives”

Tahnee is a warm, compassionate and open-minded Clinical Psychologist. She favours an eclectic treatment approach, flexibly applying evidence-based interventions and tailoring her therapeutic style to suit her clients’ individual preferences and needs. Tahnee primarily works within the frameworks of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness-based approaches to treat acute mental health conditions. For clients presenting with trauma, Tahnee also utilises Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Schema Therapy.

Tahnee is passionate about helping others to understand and process the impact of difficult childhood experiences, overcome the barriers they are facing and find true happiness, connection and meaning. She has a special interest in the treatment of disordered eating, and offers therapy for bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder and poor body image.

Since becoming a mother, Tahnee has also developed a strong interest in supporting others through the pre and postpartum period. She can offer treatment to address pregnancy and birth related anxiety, treat postnatal depression and support to adjust to the demands and changes that parenthood brings.

Outside of work, Tahnee loves spending time with her family and friends. She is passionate about wellbeing and loves to learn and grow in her knowledge about psychology and health in general. She keeps fit through running and is a massive foodie, taking any opportunity to explore new cuisines from around the world. She enjoys reading and will often have two or three books on the go at any one time.

Tahnee has a great deal of respect for anyone who can acknowledge their need for support and take the positive step of commencing treatment. If you feel that she would be a good fit for you and what you are needing, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
